British Water ski is pleased to announce the launch of its undated Child Protection Policy and Procedures. Called Ski Safe the policy meets all the requirements of the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit and those of Sport England and UK Sport.

All affiliated clubs, ski schools, instructors, coaches, officials and committee members will be receiving copies over the next few weeks. A four page summary document has been printed in the September/October edition of British Water Ski & Wakeboard. Any member that requires a full version of the Policy Booklet can either download it from the website by clicking on the Ski Safe link or ask for a hard copy to be sent to them. British Water Ski is committed to ensuring that all young people who participate in skiing and riding have a safe and positive experience.

This new policy sets out a framework to fulfil British Water Ski’s commitment to good practice and the protection of young people in its care within the sport.
